Lyrid Meteor Shower 2021

In 2021, the Lyrids peak in the pre-dawn morning of 22 April, with 10 to 20 meteors per hour.

#BornOnThisDay in 1850 Irish astronomer Arthur Matthew Weld Downing FRAS, who made major contributions to astronomy is in the calculation of the positions and movements of astronomical bodies. He was one of the founders of @BritAstro, an ardent supporter during its early years.
