It’s Getting Busy Up There

The current scale of our space junk problem was revealed this week.

Born on this day in 1933 @NASA astronaut Donald Peterson was originally selected for the Air Force Manned Orbiting Laboratory (MOL) program, but, when that was cancelled, he became a NASA astronaut and a mission specialist on STS-6 on board Challenger.
