Notebooks such as this were used by astronauts during preflight training. Astronauts could request selected pages from their training notebook be transferred to the notebook issued for their actual flight. The inside cover contains guidlines for using the notebook. The front and back covers of the notebook are made of thick card, printed with NASA insignia. The back has two patches of Velcro. The notebook is bound together with three plastic tags.
