Apollo 8 Mission Promotional Posters

Apollo 8 Mission Promotional Posters

Produced by Crosse & Blackwell as a free giveaway with ‘Spaghetti Rings’, these promotional posters mark the historic voyage of Apollo 8, the first crewed spacecraft to leave Earth orbit and reach the Moon.

Crosse & Blackwell were one of many companies that used the excitement surrounding NASA’s Apollo Program for promotional material.

Apollo 8 was a significant moment in history, as no human had ever seen Earth as a whole planet before or witnessed the far side of the Moon. It produced many iconic images, including the famous image of the Earth rising above the Moon.

The 5 posters depict:
Apollo 8 Flight Plan
Apollo 8 Saturn V Launch
Apollo 8 Astronauts in Capsule – Anders, Lovell, Borman
Apollo 8 View of Earth from Moon
The Recovery of the Apollo 8 Space Capsule
