ECS-3 ESA Mission Patch

ECS-3 ESA Mission Patch

This European Space Agency patch was created for the European Communications Satellite programme (ECS). ECS-1, also known as Eutelsat I F-1, was launched in 1983 to a geostationary orbit. The communications satellite, operated by the European Telecommunications Satellite Organisation (Eutelsat), remained in use until it was decommissioned in 1996.

ECS-1 was built by British Aerospace and was one of a long line of ESA satellites providing communication links across the continent.
