Gemini 11 Mission Patch
Gemini 11 Mission Patch
This mission patch was designed to commemorate Pete Conrad and Richard Gordon's Gemini 11 mission, which set a new orbital height record at the time. The patch design features the Gemini spacecraft docking with an Agena Target Vehicle, as well as a depiction of Gordon carrying out a spacewalk. The Roman numerals for eleven are rising up from the Earth to indicate that this mission was going higher than any mission had before.
This particular patch was part of a collection of patches acquired by British-born professor of endocrine and metabolic surgery Anthony Goode, during his years working with NASA’s Life Sciences Division.
