Heroes of the Heavens Magazine

Heroes of the Heavens Magazine

A collector’s edition 64-page magazine to commemorate the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. The front cover features an official NASA crew photograph, with the title ‘Heroes of the Heavens’ underneath. The magazine contains images and information about the disaster and profiles of each of the crew members.

On 28 January 1986, a booster on the Challenger shuttle failed shortly after launch, causing the spacecraft to break apart. Tragically, all seven crew members lost their lives. The launch was broadcast live on television in the United States due to of the presence a civilian teacher, Christa McAuliffe, who would have been the first teacher in space.
