This non-circulating One Crown coin was commissioned by the Isle of Man to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Apollo 11.The obverse has the lettering: ELIZABETH II ISLE OF MAN – 1999. The image is a crowned bust of the Queen.
The reverse has the lettering: 30th ANNIVERSARY OF FIRST MAN ON THE MOON/ APOLLO XI JULY 20TH 1969/ 1 CROWN. The image is Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walking on the Moon with the United States flag, lunar module, and NASA logo in the background.
