Philips Records UK Mono 45rpm Extended Play 7" Single 1969, issued as a free gift with the News of the World - to commemorate Apollo 11.The record consists of an outer sleeve with images of the crew and the Lunar Module on the outside cover. The inside cover details the history of space exploration since the launch of Sputnik in 1957 and includes an image of the Moon landing. It also has a short biography of each of the Apollo 11 crew members. A folded insert details the main events of the mission and transcript of communication between Houston and the astronauts. There is also a tri-fold out diagram illustrating the major events of the mission, with a laminated image of Saturn V on the reverse. The vinyl record itself is contained in a paper sleeve.
