Russian Magazine Covering STS-112

A Russian magazine called Cosmonaut News published by the Russian space agency, Roscosmos. It includes articles in Russian about upcoming launches, events and space science. It was given to the National Space Centre during a visit from the crew of the Space Shuttle mission STS-112 in January 2003. The magazine charts the progress of STS-112 and includes biographies of the crew members, one of which was British born astronaut Piers Sellers.

STS-112 launched 7 October2002 and was the 9th assembly mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The purpose of the mission was to deliver a truss segment. The truss was manoeuvred into place using the ISS robotic arm. Piers Sellers took part in the three space walks that were carried out to complete the connections between the truss and the ISS.
