Shuttle Carriers of America Patch
Shuttle Carriers of America Patch
This patch design was made to commemorate the work done by the Space Shuttle Carrier crews. The patch depicts a Space Shuttle being carried atop a modified Boeing 747 airliner, which was used to transport Space Shuttles. The initials DFRC and JSC stand for the Dryden Flight Research Center (now the Armstrong Flight Research Center) and the Johnson Space Center respectively.
This particular patch was part of a collection of patches acquired by British-born professor of endocrine and metabolic surgery Anthony Goode, during his years working with NASA’s Life Sciences Division.
