Space Shuttle Patch
A generic Space Shuttle programme patch, which was designed to commemorate NASA's new reusable space plane.The patch depicts the Space Shuttle Orbiter ready for launch. It is a rare example of a triangular patch, with few NASA patches taking this shape - another notable exception being the Apollo 8 mission patch.
This particular patch was part of a collection of patches acquired by British-born professor of endocrine and metabolic surgery Anthony Goode, during his years working with NASA’s Life Sciences Division.
