Tim Peake Special Edition Tea
Tim Peake Special Edition Tea
The special edition box of Yorkshire Tea, called 'Peake's Tea', was produced to celebrate British astronaut Tim Peake's mission to the International Space Station. The box features a classic rural scene with the addition of a rocket and a lamb dressed as an astronaut. Yorkshire Tea is Tim's favourite, so Taylor's of Harrogate sent him a box in the hope he would take it into space with him. Only a small number were produced and it is not available to buy in shops.Tim Peake enjoyed the classically British combination of a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich as his first meal on the International Space Station. Although, he drank his tea through a straw from a sealed pouch rather than a cup. Microgravity makes drinking tea from a conventional cup impossible as the liquid would simply float out of it.
