Key Stage 1

Planets Workshop

Which is the hottest planet? Will we ever live on Mars? Come with us on a journey through our Solar System as we explore each of the planets.

The Moon Hoax Debate

A vast weight of evidence supports the fact that humans really did land on the Moon multiple times between 1969 and 1972. But it is important to question and think critically about events of this scale – and sometimes researching and puzzling out the answers can be half the fun!

Night and Day Planetarium Show

What are the stars? What is the Sun? Why do they look so different? Why does the Sun appear to move across the sky during the day and where does it go at night? Find out the answers to these questions and more in an animated, presenter-led, interactive show. This show includes a Tour of the Night Sky looking at some of the easy to find star patterns for the time of year and some of the mythological stories associated with them.

Key Stage 2

Earth, Sun and Moon Workshop

This workshop is split into 3 main parts to discover the relationship between the objects we see in the sky. Each of the parts covers each of the objects through practical demonstration and space quiz. Students can then construct their own moon wheel, showing each of the moon phases, which they can take home.

Key Stage 3

Our Earth Under Threat Workshop

A team building workshop in which groups need to work in separate teams to deal with a possible Earth impact from a Near Earth Object. After receiving information about Near Earth Objects, the students will then take on the role of a crisis team formed to help avert disaster on Earth. The workshop is concluded when the presenter amazes the audience by creating a replica of a comet.

Back to the Moon Planetarium Show

Narrated by Tim Allen, the award-winning Google Lunar XPRIZE fulldome planetarium show, Back To The Moon For Good, chronicles teams around the world competing for the largest international incentivized prize in history, by landing a robotic spacecraft on the Moon. This global competition is designed to spark imagination and inspire a renewed commitment to space exploration, not by governments or countries – but by the citizens of the world.
