Museum Shop Sunday01 December 2019
Get creative and support local independent makers.
A day dedicated to getting hands-on with new crafts and skills, as well as discovering more about our local creator community.
Now in its third year, Museum Shop Sunday celebrates the unique and exciting shops which play such a vital role in helping charity attractions to survive and thrive.
On Sunday 1 December 2019 over 1,000 cultural venues worldwide will be putting on special events such as meet the maker, book signings and craft activities.
The National Space Centre is working with local independent makers to host a very special festive market with a hands-on twist.
Families can take part in maker sessions with each stall holder, as well as discover more about our local creator community and buy some all-important seasonal gifts that will help support local independent makers.
Each of our market stalls will be hosting timed or drop-in sessions throughout the day for children and adults to get hands-on with making something amazing to take home.
Throughout the Centre you will discover a huge array of the very best local makers and creators, not only offering an opportunity to get involved, but also selling some fantastic festive gifts.
We are curating a market of local independent makers. This curation process ensures that we have little to no duplication, ensuring the very best experience for customers and sellers. Come along and discover the truly unique gifts that you would want to discover under your tree from Santa.
By shopping at this market, you are actively contributing to the future sustainability of our region. You’re also helping to support small businesses, start-ups, independent suppliers and artisan makers.
If you are a local maker or know somebody who may be interested in hosting a stall, please do get in touch.
There is no cost, we just ask that you are a local independent maker.
