Space Cadets IN-PERSON: Summer Sessions

To support Home Education and Lost Learning, our Discovery Team will be hosting two LIVE, three-day space club sessions over the summer holiday period.

To support Home Education and Lost Learning, our Discovery Team will be hosting two LIVE, three-day space club sessions over the summer holiday period:

  • Currently in years 5 or 6 at school – 19, 20 and 21 July
    Currently in years 7 or 8 at school – 02, 03 and 04 August

Our days will run from 10:00 to 15:00 each day (arrival at 09:45 for registration) and children need to bring with them a packed lunch and bottle of water.

Price per child is £75 for the three days

Each week we will focus on:

Astronaut Training

Day 1

Find out what it takes to become an astronaut and complete our training activities to see if you have the right stuff. Learn a bit of the history behind space travel and explore our galleries and planetarium to find out more.

Aliens

Day 2

Find out more about the search for life both within our solar system and further out into space. What are the signs of life and what could life need to survive?

Exoplanets

Day 3

Explore space in our 360-degree planetarium, learn about the Universe and the stars within it. Find out if there are other planetary bodies that could sustain life and whether we have found any good candidates yet.

FAQs

Who is the session for?

The two weeks the Space Cadets LIVE sessions are suitable for children who are currently in years 5, 6, 7 and 8 at school currently (in May/June 2022). Please do not book for ages outside of these school years, as the sessions have been specifically created to support these age groups.

What do the children need to bring with them?

Please bring a packed lunch with you and a bottle of water. Everything else will be supplied.

Can my child arrive earlier and/or later?

I’m afraid the team are unable to provide supervision outside of the set hours of the course.

How many people can participate?

We have a maximum of 15 places available each week, so tickets are extremely limited.

Can I cancel and get a refund?

No, tickets are non-refundable, however, if you are unable to attend you can transfer your ticket to another child within the appropriate age range. We will cancel any tickets sold over the face value.
