The Majestic Music of Holst
Take a seat in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium for an evening celebrating the magical and majestic music of Holst, alongside scientists from the University of Leicester who are working to better understand the planets that inspired the music.
Professor Mark Sims heads up an all-star cast for an hour of discussion around some of the major milestone missions supported by the Space Research Centre at the University of Leicester.

Thanks to funding as part of RAS200 from the Royal Astronomical Society, this spectacular planetarium show was created by Leicester-based and award-winning NSC Creative. The focus is Gustav Holst’s orchestral suite The Planets, which has been reimagined as part of a full-dome immersive planetarium show, using a recording by the Philharmonia Orchestra.

This event is suitable for all the family.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
There are 400 car parking spaces available on site, which are free after 17:00. We are happy to call taxis for people and there is a bus stop to the 54 route within a few minutes walk of the Centre.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
No, tickets are non transferable or refundable.
Can I update my registration information?
No, once a ticket is purchased no changes can be made.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Either a printed ticket, or a ticket on your phone or tablet (we like the non-printing option, it is better for the planet).
What is the refund policy?
All tickets are non-refundable.
