You might have noticed whilst you’ve been perusing our website that the National Space Centre is a charity (No. 1078832). Ever since we opened all the way back in 2001, our organisation has been a not-for-profit educational charity with a mission to get people excited about space! Not only that, but it’s also our goal to help develop the next generation of scientists and engineers.

In between curating a world class collection of artefacts, providing educational and community outreach programmes, and helping people find their way into careers in STEM, it’s the goal of our charity to get people to think more about space and how it affects their daily lives.

But being a not-for-profit charity means that we do not receive funding in the way that a lot of other attractions and science and discovery centres do. The good news is that there are so many ways that you can play a vital role in supporting our charitable objectives – even just being here now and reading this means the world to us!

Visit the National Space Centre!

It might sound obvious but visiting us and getting excited about space with our teams is the best way to support our charity. Every ticket purchased goes towards curating and taking care of our exhibits and enables us to continue providing educational outreach programmes to both schools and local communities.

Spread the Word

There is nothing we love more than hearing from visitors after their days out, especially when people take the time to share their great experiences with us. Similarly, taking the time to spread the word and letting friends and families know about your day out with us to raise awareness of our Centre. And of course, if you had a wonderful day out learning about space with us, then leaving a TripAdvisor or Google review really does help us.

However you choose to support the National Space Centre, we cannot express our gratitude enough! Thank you for helping us to make a positive difference to the future of our planet and for supporting us to continue our journey to get people excited about space!
