How To Gift The Universe This Christmas

Christmas is fast approaching, and with it comes the mad rush to get everything sorted. But it can be hard to choose which gift voucher is the right one, so I’m here to give you a rundown of what each voucher includes and to help you decide which one is the right choice for your loved one.
A Day Out
If you want to gift someone a day out, including to one of the National Space Centre’s premium events, this is the ticket for you!
Perfect for a family day out, anyone who receives this voucher will get a full day at the Centre complete with a show in the UK’s largest Planetarium, live talks and science demonstrations. As a bonus, the vouchers are also redeemable for our standard and Premium day events, giving your recipient the chance to meet their favourite characters at Galactic Gathering, get stuck in with creating at Brickish or discover a new family favourite tabletop experience at To Boldly Game.
Space Lates
For those who like to dig a little deeper into their favourite space topics, Space Lates offer an exciting evening with talks from academics, industry guests and even astronauts!
Focusing on a different topic each evening, Space Lates are engaging and accessible, with plenty to do alongside exploring the galleries after dark. With topics ranging from the moon, space travel and the search for alien life, there will be something to interest anyone who wants to learn about space.

Film Club
If the person you want to treat is more of a film buff, then look no further than the Film Club gift card.
With a range of out-of-this-world films showing throughout the year, there’s something to please everyone, no matter whether they’re a fan of the classics or prefer a popcorn flick, all shown on our cinema-sized screen.

Destination Dining
For a more stylish evening, our Destination Dining offers a unique dining experience, perfect for a special night out whether that’s with a partner or friends.
Complete with a signature cocktail, locally sourced seasonal ingredients and exclusive after-hours access to the Centre, it’s an experience that will be remembered for a while, whether you’re dining among the planets, in the Columbus module or next to a space toilet! If you want to treat someone to an extraordinary evening, a special Destination Dining gift card is the way to go.
One Small Step
With one of these vouchers, your recipient will be able to get their name inscribed on a special astronaut footprint plaque, which will be displayed outside of the National Space Centre for 12 months. Meanwhile, all proceeds from the voucher will go towards funding the National Space Centre’s IGNITE! program, funding after school sessions, holiday clubs and classes.
Whether your plaque is to celebrate a special someone’s love for space, the name of someone dearly beloved who may have passed away, or (in once case) a cherished family pet, you can help them make a mark while making a difference to the charity.
All of the cards are able to be purchased either in the National Space Centre gift shop, which comes with a special gift envelope, or online, where a code can be sent on a scheduled date or instantly (perfect for those last-minute gifts!) The recipient will be able to select when they would like to visit or what they would like it to say on their plaque, ensuring that their gift is just right for them.
