    Sit back in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium for a cinema screening of this iconic cult TECHNICOLOR movie. 

    In the first of several feature film adaptations of H. G. Wells' novel, the setting is changed from Victorian era England to 1953 Southern California. Earth is suddenly invaded by Martians, and American scientist Doctor Clayton Forrester searches for any weakness to stop them.

There are 400 free car parking spaces available on site and there is a bus stop to the 54 route within a few minutes’ walk of the Centre (please check times on their website).

Free Carer tickets can be booked with any disabled ticket purchased for Film Club. If you have any access needs just add them upon check out when booking and we can reserve wheelchair spaces and/or accessible seating (situated at the rear of the Planetarium with easy access to all emergency exits). You will need to bring proof of PIP/DLA on the night for the free Carer ticket.

No, this movie was not made to be projected in a fulldome format, but we will be using our huge cinema screen in the dome.
